The Water Resources Committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation will complete the design and cost estimate documentation for the reconstruction and modernization of the Astana Reservoir by the end of this year. Funding for the project is planned to be considered in 2026. The timeline for the reconstruction works will be determined after the financing issue is resolved.
