16 apr. 2026
Artificial intelligence will become a powerful supporting tool in geological exploration over the next 15 years; however, it will not be able to fully replace humans. This was stated by Dmitry Agapitov, Executive Director of IGT Group, at the MINEX Kazakhstan forum. According to him, it takes specialists 12–15 years of practical experience to become professionals in geology and gain a deep understanding of the industry. In this regard, transferring projects exclusively to artificial intelligence is impractical.
