In the 1980s, the popular Arasan-Kapal sanatorium operated in the foothills of the Dzungarian Alatau, renowned for its healing mineral springs. The resort attracted not only ordinary visitors but also prominent figures, including Dinmukhamed Kunaev. Later, the health resort was renamed to "Kapal-Arasan," yet it retained its reputation as one of the region's most respected wellness destinations.
