Large-scale Nauryz celebrations are taking place in Astana

On March 21-22, festive events are being held across all six districts of the city, including residential areas.
From early morning, festive music fills the air, handicraft fairs are open, and traditional treats are being prepared. There are competitions in national sports with valuable prizes, including weightlifting, arm wrestling, tug of war, asyk games, Kazakh wrestling, and goat lifting. Yurts have been set up in all districts, and festive fairs and photo zones are organized. Kazakh artists and city ensembles are performing on stages, and altibakans (traditional swings) have been installed.
