Home for Rescued Animals in Borovoe
The zoo in the village of Burabay was founded in 1976 and has been operating year-round to this day. It was initially opened as a hunting lodge where injured animals and birds were brought.
Currently, the zoo houses 30 species of animals and birds. In winter, heat-loving animals and birds are placed in a special winter shelter, and in May, they are released into enclosures and ponds.
"Our staff takes care of animals that have been harmed by humans. Each resident of the zoo has its own special feeding and care routine," - Veterinary doctor of the zoo, Ildar Fayzulin.
If you happen to spot an injured animal in the forest, we ask you to report it to the Forestry Department of the State National Nature Park "Burabay" at: 8(71636) 71 8 97, or contact the Burabay resort call-center at +77010921405, so that professionals can attempt to save it.
