#Airport

An airport is an enterprise designed to regularly provide passenger, cargo, and mail transportation by air.  Depending on the equipment and level of traffic, airports are divided into international and local.
When choosing a location for the construction of an airport, factors such as convenience of access to the city, placement at a significant distance from the city to reduce noise, compliance with soil and hydrogeological conditions, absence of high obstacles near the airport, and other factors are taken into account.
The main part of an airport is the aerodrome. It includes runways, taxiways, aircraft parking areas, and other facilities. The area of large airports can reach thousands of hectares, and they can accommodate multiple aircraft landing and taking off simultaneously. All regional centers and major cities in Kazakhstan have airports. At Almaty airport, an average of 4,000 passengers are served daily (up to 6,500 in summer months).
