The World Chess Championship for children has officially kicked off in Almaty

The tournament for players under 8, 10, and 12 years old is being held at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace. A total of 850 young chess players from 88 countries have gathered to compete, including 28 participants from India, 25 from China, and 24 from the United States. As the host country, Kazakhstan will be represented by more than 200 players.
