In Almaty, representatives of Kazakhstan and Russia honored the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War by laying flowers at the memorial in the 28 Panfilov Guards Park.
The delegation, led by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, and Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, paid tribute to the fallen soldiers with a moment of silence and laid flowers at the memorial to those who died in the Great Patriotic War.
