The Malaya Almatinka is the lifeblood of the southern capital
6 june 1971
Breathing life into the heart of Almaty, the Malaya Almatinka River flows through the city, bringing life to its parks, streets, and people. On its banks stands the Almaty Heavy Machinery Plant (AZTM), one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Soviet era, now an integral part of the city’s history and architectural landscape.
