Gabit Makhmutovich Musrepov (1902–1985) was a Kazakh writer, critic, playwright, and public figure. He was born on March 9 (March 22), 1902, in the present-day village of Zhanazhol, Zhambyl District, North Kazakhstan Region. He authored 592 works, including novels, short stories, novellas, dramas, prose poems, articles, speeches, scripts, essays, and translations. Musrepov’s works have been translated into 34 languages worldwide, with 295 of them available in Russian.
