Tourism is when a person, in their free time, not due to obligation, professional necessity, or assignment, but by their own will, goes on a trip or a walk for relaxation, entertainment, exciting adventures, and the satisfaction of spiritual needs.
If the trip is short-term and to nearby places, it is called a walk, whereas a long-distance and long-term trip is called a journey.
Tourism plays one of the leading roles in the global economy. Income from tourism consistently ranks third, after oil products and automobile exports. Since traditional regions of the global tourist market have almost reached the limits of their recreational capacity, tourism growth will predominantly develop through new destinations for tourists. In this regard, Kazakhstan has a unique opportunity to take its rightful place in the global tourism market.
According to the forecast of the World Tourism Organization, the tourism industry will continue to grow in the 21st century, and by 2020, the number of tourist trips worldwide will reach 1.6 billion.
