Graduated from the Pavlodar State University with a degree in Economics and Management in Social Sector and Industries (2000). Graduated from the University of Maryland under the Bolashak Programme with a Master's degree in Business with a major in Finance (USA, 2002). On September 4, 2023, Mr. Suleimenov was appointed as the Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan by the President Decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan No 334.
