#The Olympics

The Olympics are the largest international multi-sport competitions held every four years. This tradition was inherited from ancient Greece and revived in the late 19th century by French public figure Baron Pierre de Coubertin. Initially, only the Summer Olympic Games were held every four years, except during the years of world wars. In 1924, alongside the Summer Games, the Winter Olympic Games were also introduced. However, since 1994, the Summer and Winter Games have been held with a two-year gap.
The Olympic Games are linked to the development of human history. To this day, the exact date of their origin remains unknown. Although the exact reason for the emergence of the Olympic Games is unclear, there are several interesting myths about their origin in ancient Greek culture.
