Nurlan Karshagovich Zhakupov was born on March 31, 1978. In 2001, he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Faculty of International Economic Relations. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics and a PhD in Economics. Since April 2023, he has served as Chairman of the Management Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund "Samruk-Kazyna."
