Nurlan Sauranbayev Ermekovich was born in the city of Dzhambul, Kazakh SSR. In 1991, he graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh State University with a degree in Economics. From 2001 to 2002, he studied at the ENI-Agip Oil Industry Training Center in Milan, Italy, earning a Master’s degree in Oil Administration. In 2016, he completed a Master’s program in “Military and Public Administration” at the National Defense University named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation. Since June 2025, Nurlan Sauranbayev has been serving as the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
