Madi Tokeshevich Takiev was born on April 1, 1978, in Bakanas village, Balkhash district, Almaty region. He holds a higher education degree and in 1998 graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management with a specialization in Accounting and Auditing. In 2005, he graduated from the D. Kunaev Humanities University with a degree in Law. In 2011, he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) diploma from the International Business University. Since February 6, 2024, he has been serving as the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
