#Kasym-Jomart Tokayev
Kasym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev was born on May 17, 1953, in Almaty. He is a Soviet and Kazakh politician, diplomat, and has been the acting second President of Kazakhstan since June 2019. Additionally, Tokayev is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Security Council (since 2022), and Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan since April 2021.

In March 1992, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
In 1993, he held the position of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

On October 13, 1994, Tokayev was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
From March to October 1999, in the government led by Nurlan Balgimbaev, he served as Deputy Prime Minister.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan (1999–2002)
In March 1999, Tokayev was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
In October 1999, with the support of Parliament and a Presidential decree, he was elected Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
State Secretary (2002–2007)
In January 2007, Tokayev was elected Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
In 2008, as Chairman of the Senate, he was elected Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. He held this position until April 15, 2011.
On October 16, 2013, he was re-elected Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan, with his candidacy receiving unanimous support from the senators.
During the 2016 protests over land reform, Tokayev emphasized that the land issue in the country should be addressed with a critical approach.
