Berik Assylov was born on February 28, 1964 and is a native of the Zhambyl region. After graduating from the secondary school of S.M. Kirov, he served in the USSR Air Defence Forces in Kaunas, the Republic of Lithuania. In 1991, he graduated from S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University with a degree in jurisprudence. By the Decree of the Head of State dated March 3, 2022, he was appointed Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
