Aslambek Amangeldinovich Mergaliev was born in the village of Karakuduk, Irtysh District, Pavlodar Region. In 1999, he graduated from Istanbul State University with a degree in law. Since December 8, 2022, he has served as Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On May 30, 2024, he became a Member of the International Council under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2020 to 2022, he was Chairman of the Aktobe Regional Court.
